Membership Details

In order to join Leisure Isle Bowling Club, new members should complete the Membership Application Form. An invoice will be emailed to you and on proof of payment, your membership will be confirmed.

Adult Members have to join the parent body, the Leisure Isle Country Club (LICC), the Bowling Club section (LIBC), and Bowls South Africa (BSA).

The LIBC has various types of membership:-

  • Single Membership

  • Couple Membership

  • Limited Membership

  • Dual Membership

Application Process

Adult Membership

The LIBC Executive Committee (ExCo) decides whether to accept the application. Successful applicants are notified and will be invoiced.

New members will be added to the WhatsApp Members’ Group.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Visitors: R50 per person (on condition of availability of rinks).

    Memberships Fees are due on the first of January for the calendar year. Members joining during the year pay a reduced rate based on pro-rata for the remaining months.

    Single Membership – R 3566p/a

    Couple Membership – R6532p/a

    Membership of the Country Club entitles all members to the use of the Club Bar in the members lounge which is open usually between 16:30 and 18:00 Monday to Saturday.

  • Visitors are welcome to make enquires with club manager, Marti at leisurebowls@gmail.com.

    The cost for visitors is R50pp and dependant on availability of rinks.

    Visitors who would like to learn to play bowls are welcome to arrange a coaching session by contacting the club manager. Once they feel comfortable with the basics of the game, they will be encouraged to join in the club “Tabs in” afternoons and meet the members.

  • There are two official Club “Tabs In” Days:

    Wednesdays

    • Summer: Games begin at 14:30 (last tab in at 14:15)

    • Winter: Games begin at 14:00 (last tab in at 13:45)

    Saturdays

    • Summer: Games begin at 14:30 (last tab in at 14:15)

    • Winter: Games begin at 14:00 (last tab in at 13:45)

  • There are various Bounce Games (Social Games) arranged by various members on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.

  • Coaching is available at the club.

    Various Coaching Clinics are arranged by the Committee during the year and will be advertised on all platforms.

  • The Club is required to hold an AGM as soon as possible after the start of each calendar year. This normally happens in February. The purpose of the meeting is to report to the members on Club matters including the activities of the previous year, the finances, to deal with any other business and to elect the ExCo to manage the Club for the year.

  • All members are encouraged to:

    • play as frequently as possible,

    • attend the AGM and the Social Events,

    • actively introduce potential new members to the Club.
